Teacher quality is regarded as the most important factor influencing learner outcomes. The UNESCO’s ‘Education For All’ report aims to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults by 2015. However, its annual global education monitoring reports indicated that the education for all goals has been achieved by some countries, but millions of children remain out of school or with poor teachers. In addition, school improvement involves leadership, teachers, culture, resources, pedagogy and the broader school community all working in unison to change school practices in ways that lead to better student outcomes. Now, UNESCO’s ‘Education for Sustainable Development’ aims to improve access to quality education on sustainable development at all levels and in all social contexts, to transform society by reorienting education and help people develop knowledge, skills, values and behaviours needed for sustainable development.
The joint online conference aims to bring relevant research under Teacher Quality and School Improvement across three different levels of education stages: Early childhood education, school education and higher education. It draws on our expertise from three co-organised universities. We would like to invite you and/or your team to participate this great event to build research collaborations and explore the possibilities of funding opportunities.
